Foreword:

Greetings! We are China Christian Daily, the first comprehensive English Christian news website about the church in China. Thank you for your sincere love, prayer for and contributions to the Chinese church.

The COVID-19 pandemic dominated the year 2020 across the globe. In the early months, all registered churches and many house churches were shut down in China due to a complex range of reasons, launching intercessory prayers for the country and other affected countries with donations. "Online churches" thrived and Chinese Christians were keen on attending conferences, forums, and retreats that were held virtually in country and abroad. In the middle of the year when the situation stabilized, in-person meetings resumed with restrictions, enabling the church to return to the "new normal." As we embrace 2021, the editorial team of China Christian Daily has selected the top 10 Christian news stories of 2020 based on the number of views, keyword searches, shares, and prominence of articles.

You can also read the key word of Christianity in 2020 and a moving story about a woman who read through the Bible before death.
